The Birchwood Federation

The Birchwood Federation are three schools working together in the Birchwood Community sharing expertise, experience and resources with the aim of providing a first class education for our children. At the same time as working collaboratively, we also retain the advantages of being individual and friendly.

We work closely together and share our Governing Body and some key members of staff including our Executive Headteacher.

Admissions

Entry Into Year 3

Applications for places are dealt with by Lincolnshire County Council. Lincolnshire County Council will handle all questions and issues arising; we remain neutral in this process.

We have one intake each year, at the start of the autumn term.

The school holds an open evening in term 2 that both parents and their children are more than welcome to attend.

The school also holds three transition days, normally in July, where the children will meet their teacher in their classrooms.

Entry Into Year 4 To 6

Parents of older children, moving to the area, are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school and to discuss admission with the Headteacher. You should apply through Lincoln County Council for a Midyear application.
