Our School Day
Our school day runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Arrival
Children enter through the double gates near the Youth Centre and make their way to the playground. They line up in their class groups, ready to be collected by their class teacher.
Assemblies
We hold an assembly every day. Children learn about the value or theme of the week, explore current events and festivals, and celebrate achievements and learning across the school.
Playtime and Lunchtime
Our playtime and lunchtime staff are trained to support positive, inclusive play. Children can choose from a wide range of activities, including skipping, reading, drawing, sports and table tennis. Each year group has either a separate playtime or a designated area of the playground to ensure everyone has space to play safely.
Learning Time
During lessons, the curriculum is carefully sequenced across the school week, building knowledge and skills step by step.
Home Time
At the end of the day, children are taken by their class teacher through the side gate near the Youth Centre and line up in their class. For safeguarding reasons, parents/carers must not cross the yellow line. Once staff have identified the adult collecting each child, they will be released.
Walking Home Permission
If you would like your child to walk home independently, you must consent to this on Arbor or send a signed letter into the office.
